Director of Finance and Corporate Counsel
David Schultz joined SkyREM in 2016 as Director of Finance and Corporate Counsel. David is responsible for all aspects of SkyREM’s property financings and oversees leasing transactions and day to day legal matters for SkyREM’s portfolio. David is a licensed attorney with 20 years of legal and real estate experience. David holds a J.D. from Temple University.
Dawn Johnson joined SkyREM’s predecessor company in 2002 as a Property Manager. Over the course of 16 years of running successful management services for SkyREM’s Philadelphia Portfolio, Dawn is directly responsible for the day to day operations of the Philadelphia Quartermaster and coordinating with other team members on operating issues throughout the portfolio. Dawn holds a B.A. from Knoxville College.
Managing Director – Asset Management, Construction and Development
Frank Janos joined SkyREM in 2018 as Director of Asset Management, Construction and Development along with oversight of the Northeast portfolio. Frank is a senior executive with over 30 years of experience in real estate, and has a diverse background in development, construction and financial operations. Frank holds a B.A. in Accounting and Finance from Pace University.
Joe Righter joined SkyREM’s predecessor company in 1995 as Managing Director, overseeing operations and asset management. Joe is currently responsible for SkyREM’s Mid-Atlantic and Muti-Family portfolio; positioning and enhancing the assets and optimizing operating results.
Jonathan Zich joined SkyREM’s predecessor company in 2004 as COO. Jonathan is currently Senior Advisor for SkyREM, overseeing operations and legal matters. He has extensive experience in managing commercial real estate investments. He holds a J.D. from the Fordham University School of Law and is a licensed attorney.
Senior Acquisitions Associate
James joined SkyREM in 2021 as Senior Acquisitions Associate. James is responsible for sourcing and executing new real estate and renewable energy acquisitions for the company as well as assisting in the full project management cycle for new development projects. Prior to joining SkyREM, James was a Senior Acquisitions and Finance Associate for a large real estate development and investment company, where he was actively involved in all phases of deal acquisition, financing, land entitlements, construction, and asset management for a large portfolio of real estate across all property types. He also has experience in sourcing and developing solar energy projects throughout the United States. James graduated with a B.S. in Real Estate and Finance from Monmouth University and currently sits on the Board of Advisors for the Kislak Real Estate Institute.
Brandon Friebur joined the Skyrem team in April 2021 as an Accountant with previous experience in commercial, residential, and corporate real estate. His responsibilities include daily administration work as well as day to day accounting and maintaining financial records. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Hartford.
Managing Director - Acquisitions
Marc joined SkyREM in 2015. He is responsible for sourcing and executing new acquisitions for the company. Prior to joining SkyREM, Marc was a Vice President at DTZ within their Capital Markets Group. Prior to DTZ, Marc spent approximately eight years on the principal, investment side of the real estate business working for publicly traded and privately held real estate companies (GMH Associates, First Industrial Realty Trust and Sovereign Investment Company). During that time, he was actively involved in all phases of the acquisition of over $3 billion of real estate investments across all property types. Marc started his career as an analyst in the Real Estate Investment Banking Group at Deutsche Bank. Marc graduated with a B.A. Political Science from Manhattan College, New York, NY. He also holds a degree in formal Standard & Poor’s Credit Training.
Jessica Modica is the Financial Controller of SkyREM with 15 years of accounting experience in commercial, residential, and retail real estate. As the Controller, Jessica is responsible to oversee the financial reporting and accounting functions for the SkyREM portfolio and affiliated entities. Jessica holds a B.S. in Accounting from The Pennsylvania State University.
Omera Javed joined the SkyREM team as Assistant Controller in August 2020. Her duties include day to day accounting operations, monthly reporting, and maintaining financial records. Her previous experience includes over seven years of real estate property accounting. Her background reflects extensive experience operating within high volume environments. Omera holds a Bachelors degree with a major in Accounting from Rochester Institute of Technology.
